In this post we are going to again not only talk about the Outbound Link but also about the outbound Link theme and it usage. Because when you are sending the outbound links to a page which has a different theme altogether it looses page ranking and also make search engine’s job difficult to understand what you are talking about. So when you pick up a topic you must have a thought as well as reference in mind say for example when you are talking about Job Hunt Strategies and you are linking to a page which talks about United States. The Google search engine understands that you are talking about the Job Hunt Strategies which are good for job seekers in US. This is an example where in only the range has shrunk but there are instance when your whole idea is misunderstood by Search Engine due to wrong choice of outbound link website. Like say for another example you want to talk about the best home care techniques but when you linked it to a page which talks about pets. The relevancy signal to the search engine understands that you are talking about Pet care, this is just an example but the situation could be more hurting if you look at the outbound links and analyze relevancy of your page. Like in the article which appeared in MOZ Cyrus has clearly stated two scenario and what are the advantages and disadvantages of both of them. When you start writing for an idea look at these points before you mark a link as outbound dofollow link:-
1. Is the link really helpful in making your readers understand your research?
2. Is link hurting your own sites time on site factor?
3. Is website talking about the same content idea which your website talks?
4. Are you not over passing your outbound links?
5. Does that website have a bad history of bans? You can check it in with this tool.
So if you have a outbound link follow a theme and you should have a bulk of websites which are of same niche and are talking about the topic of your article. For Eg. if you have category of Mobile Reviews you can refer the site callingallgeeks.com or If you are talking about wordpress you must refer website wpmu.org. Now you must be clear of Outbound Link theme and its category so if you have a heap of reference websites you are going to never fight with the different website theme.
