Pause the Presentation by showing white screen

While making presentations we all face this issue that we want our listeners to concentrate on what we want to convey to them rather on the contents of Presentation. So we have to either minimize the presentation or either we have to lock the computer or dim or dim the projector display which is a bit tiresome.

Hence in PowerPoint we have an option through which we can pause the presentation on a white/black screen and after we finish explaining the point to the listeners can commence with the slides.

First Step:- Press F5 to Launch Presentation from First Slide or Press Shift+F5 to start the Presentation from the current slide.

Pause the Presentation - Slide 1

Second Step:-  Press W for White Screen and B for Black Screen and press the respective buttons again or press exit to return to slide.

Pause the Presentation - Slide 2

White Screen

Black Screen

Two more PowerPoint shortcuts I want to share:-

  1. If you want to return to the first slide press Left+Right mouse button.
  2. If you want to go to a particular slide Press the slide number and press enter.

Pause the Presentation - Slide 3

Thank You
